The History of Women’s Clothing in Gouache Illustrations
Ancient Egyptian clothing was made from light, white, often transparent fabrics. Egyptians loved beautiful colors and ornamentation. Their jewelry was fabulous. They made living in a vast, hot, arid land a masterpiece of artistry.

Ancient Greece was filled with mystery and wonder. Dryads and mystical spirits were hidden living in the trees. Women wore colored printed fabrics in layers of beautiful draping and elegant hairstyles and jewelry. Images painted on Greek pottery reveal a taste for beauty.
